This "As Seen On TV" item actually works! We LOVE Hercules hooks for hanging paintings, mirrors, clocks, picture frames, etc. around our home! We haven't truly tested its weight / strength claims, but they are definitely easy to use - NO TOOLS NEEDED - and leave a very small hole.
Only issue is if you hit a support stud behind the drywall, then you have to move to a new location. Also, for larger items, we often use two hooks just to make sure the item hangs level.
